Welcome to Olson’s Woodworx
My professional woodworking experience began in 2003 with Craftsman Furniture Service, a furniture restoration shop in Sacramento. I developed their onsite commercial wood repair division, working with downtown Sacramento property management companies to maintain their interior wood surfaces and furniture, including reception areas, paneling, desks, doors, and trim.
A notable job we undertook was refurbishing the transition offices for soon-to-be governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. We also partnered with local furniture stores, repairing items damaged in transit or with cosmetic blemishes.

Mexican Tile Table
Table built to client specifications using provided handmade Mexican tile. Measures approximately 2 x 4 feet by 29" high.
Custom Bathroom Vanity
Floating vanity in Alder. After I built the boxes, I attached the drawers to Blum Tandem undermount soft-close runners. Drawer faces are custom-stained and finished. The upper left and right drawers under the sinks feature U-shaped dovetailed maple drawer boxes that allow for storage on both the left and right sides of the plumbing.
Custom Home Office
Custom home office built according to the designer's renderings, featuring solid oak floating shelves with integrated LED lighting strips.
Walnut Kitchen
Frameless walnut slab-door kitchen finished in a hardwax oil wood finish to highlight the natural wood color (no stain). Easily maintained and prevents dust from collecting on doors or drawer faces, as would be the case with a shaker or raised panel design. Dovetailed maple drawer boxes and soft-close doors and drawers. The refrigerator, dishwasher, and warmer drawer on the island all feature the same wood-paneled faces.

Custom-built and finished cherry frameless cabinets for a movie room casita in Silver Springs.

Walnut Console Table
Salvaged solid walnut slab with custom metal legs. Black epoxy was used to fill voids. Finished with Rubio Monocoat.
Built-Ins
Matching set of bookcases surrounds the fireplace. Includes soft-close doors and drawers. Power and electrical cords were routed through the walls and into lower part of cabinet.
Walnut Dining Room Cabinet
Freestanding walnut dining room cabinet with solid walnut feet. 1.5" vertical grain Douglas Fir top. Floating solid teak shelves. Clear finish only.

Custom wood range hood designed to match existing shaker-style kitchen cabinetry.
